Michael had classical piano training and he studied Jazz in Wiesbaden. After his first encounter with Axel Zwingenberger’s Boogie Woogie, he switched his interest to the piano music of the early 20th century. The young pianist didn’t specialize in Boogie Woogie, but he plays all styles of Early Jazz piano, such as Harlem Stride, New Orleans Jazz and Swing.
