Juergen is active at the Hamburg piano scene since the 1970s, mostly rather as band pianist with "8 To The Bar" or other blues oriented groups then as a soloist. To a large extent, Vince Weber’s monthly solo concerts at the Fabrik from 1974 on until the late 1980s have inspired many young pianists from the Hamburg area to play Blues. Juergen Meyer-Burgdorff is one of them, who keep their enthusiasm for this music since many years.
