Hamburg piano virtuoso and musical entertainer Joja Wendt started his carreer with Boogie Woogie piano. Ever now and then, he makes brief returns to his old Boogie buddies. Joja had been a regular guest for many years at Poldi Eidenhammer’s musical club "Sperl". He spent the nights of his Hamburg holidays there, when he studied music at the University of Music of Amsterdam. His brilliant carreer, which even led to his own TV show, got a first boost on 8-8-88 at the Fabrik. Joja is well-known for his virtuoso piano playing, his humorous presentations and a stage presence which easily wins over the audience. Even if he is not always a regular part of the program of "The Hamburg Boogie Woogie Connection", he is always welcome and often takes part in the final jam session.
