Jean-Pierre is one of the busiest French Boogie Woogie pianists. In the 1980s, he had a Club in Paris, "La Table d’Harmonie", a Mekka for piano lovers. Besides his own concert activities, he frequently staged festivals, e. g. in Paris or since several years at his chosen home Burgundy. His piano playing is strongly influenced by the "Big Three" of Boogie Woogie, Albert Ammons, Meade "Lux" Lewis and Pete Johnson, but also by his friend Axel Zwingenberger. He often works with bands, which can be heard on several of his CDs.
