Jan Luley is a very versatile pianist. His domaine is New Orleans piano with Creole-touched rhythms, which easily mixes with Blues, Boogie Woogie and Gospel sounds. Jan frequently plays with Traditional Jazz bands, where his virtuoso swing makes a distinctive contribution. He frequently accompanies vocalists, but he also sings himself. On his first performance at The Hamburg Boogie Woogie Connection, he played together with Torsten Zwingenberger, the congenial drummer. Besides his work as musician, Jan also organizes concerts, complete travels, work shops, and he also works as photographer.
