Henry Heggen

The American singer and harp player came to Europe on a tour in the 1970 and stayed ever since. For the Hamburg Blues scene, he is indispensable. With his natural feeling for the mouth harp and after thorough studies of his role models, such as Sonny Terry or Sonny Boy Williamson, he developed a completely authentic sound. His vocal idol is Big Joe Turner. For a long time, Henry toured with his own band "B Sharp", as well as with Abi Wallenstein and with his recent band "Crazy Hambones", together with Micha Maas (drums) and Peter Crow C. (guitar).
